SHORT ANSWERS / THE CONTEXT

# Start with a question.

These NextGen Peptides questions explain the words that can make weight-management research hard to follow. The answers describe compounds and access limits. They do not decide which medicine is appropriate for you.

Promise Peptides prescribes now. A licensed provider reviews each request and decides whether to prescribe. Not everyone qualifies. Compounded medicines are made to order, not FDA-approved.

TARGET STUDY / 03

GLP-1 + GIP + glucagon

GLP-1, GIP and glucagon are hormone signals. A receptor is a cell’s signal receiver. Retatrutide acts on three receptor types.

## The questions behind the search.

### What is a peptide?

A peptide is a short chain of protein building blocks. The word describes a kind of molecule. It does not tell us whether a particular product is approved, suitable for a person or safe to use.

### What does NextGen mean by a generation?

We use generation to count the receptor types a compound acts on. A receptor is a part of a cell that receives a signal. The count is a reading aid, not an official approval category or a ranking.

### What do GLP-1 and GIP mean here?

They are names for hormone signals in the body. Hormones carry messages. Semaglutide acts on the GLP-1 receptor. Tirzepatide acts on GIP and GLP-1 receptors. The initials describe the targets, not a personal treatment plan.

### What is a triple agonist?

An agonist is a compound that activates a receptor. A triple agonist acts on three receptor types. Retatrutide's targets are GLP-1, GIP and glucagon. Having three targets does not change the fact that retatrutide remains investigational.

### Is retatrutide FDA-approved?

No. Retatrutide is investigational and in Phase 3 clinical trials, which are studies in people. It has no approved use and is not available by prescription. This guide does not predict an approval date.

### Can I get retatrutide through the links here?

Promise has no retatrutide product. Its links here are for metabolic support, semaglutide or tirzepatide. They are not a route to retatrutide.

### Are semaglutide and tirzepatide approved?

FDA-approved products containing those ingredients exist. FDA is short for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Approval is specific to a finished medicine. Compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide are not FDA-approved.

### What does compounded mean?

It means a medicine is made to order. A compounded medicine is not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review its safety, quality or effectiveness before it is sold. A pharmacy licence is different from product approval.

### Why is a research-only label a concern?

Some products are marked “not for human use.” An order does not include a licensed provider reviewing your health. The FDA warns that unapproved products sold with research labels can have unknown quality and may be harmful.

### Is NextGen a shop or a medical service?

NextGen is a plain-language guide. It does not sell medicines, arrange prescriptions or assess medical questions. Its links point to a separate service. The link itself is not a health review or an offer of care.

### Is Promise prescribing semaglutide and tirzepatide now?

Promise prescribes semaglutide and tirzepatide now through licensed U.S. providers. A provider reviews every request and decides whether to prescribe. Not everyone qualifies. A product page is not a promise of a prescription.

### Is the linked route available outside the United States?

Promise is for U.S. patients only. Availability varies by state and by treatment. Reading a page or starting a request does not make care available in another country.

### What does LegitScript certification mean?

Promise is LegitScript-certified. This is a private check of business standards, not FDA approval or a rating of medical care. Certification does not replace a provider's review or tell a person which medicine to choose.

## Take the next question to a licensed route.

Promise prescribes semaglutide and tirzepatide now through licensed U.S. providers. A provider reviews every request and decides whether to prescribe. Not everyone qualifies.
