GENERATION 03 / INVESTIGATIONAL

# Retatrutide is still in trials.

This page explains retatrutide’s status and the gap between a clinical trial, a study in people, and an online research order. Retatrutide is investigational: still being studied. It is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and is not available by prescription.

Promise Peptides prescribes now. A licensed provider reviews each request and decides whether to prescribe. Not everyone qualifies. Compounded medicines are made to order, not FDA-approved.

Promise has no retatrutide product. Its links here are for metabolic support, semaglutide or tirzepatide. They are not a route to retatrutide.

TARGET STUDY / 03

GLP-1 + GIP + glucagon

GLP-1, GIP and glucagon are hormone signals. A receptor is a cell’s signal receiver. Retatrutide acts on three receptor types.

01

## What the three targets mean.

Retatrutide is a triple agonist. Agonist means a compound that activates a receptor, a part of a cell that receives a signal. Triple means three receptor types: GLP-1, GIP and glucagon. These are names for hormone signals in the body.

Semaglutide acts on GLP-1. Tirzepatide acts on GIP and GLP-1. Retatrutide adds the glucagon target. The extra target describes its design. It does not make an online product approved, or tell us which care is appropriate for any one person.

02

## A trial is a study in people.

Retatrutide is in Phase 3 clinical trials. Phase 3 is a stage of clinical research. It remains an investigational drug, studied under clinical-trial conditions. There is no approved use and no prescription product.

A trial result and FDA approval answer different questions. A report describes a study. Approval concerns a specific product for a stated use. The existence of a trial does not make products sold outside it part of that trial.

This guide does not predict when retatrutide might be approved. It also does not offer trial enrolment, retatrutide access or a way to obtain it.

03

## “Research” is not a shortcut to a prescription.

Research-only products may be labelled “not for human use.” That label is a limit, not a safety promise. No one reviews your medical history as part of a research-only order.

The FDA has warned about unapproved products, including retatrutide, sold with research labels. It says these products can have unknown quality and may be harmful. A label on a sales page is not evidence that its contents match a clinical-trial medicine.

NextGen does not list research sellers or compare their products. The useful distinction here is between a study under trial conditions and an online purchase without a prescription review.

04

## What a provider can consider today.

FDA-approved medicines containing semaglutide and tirzepatide exist. A licensed provider can consider available medicines and decide whether any are appropriate after reviewing a person's health. This is not a recommendation to replace retatrutide with either one.

Compounded versions of semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved. Compounding means making a medicine to order. Whether a compounded medicine is appropriate depends on the patient's needs and the rules that apply.

Promise prescribes semaglutide and tirzepatide now through licensed U.S. providers. A provider reviews every request and decides whether to prescribe. Not everyone qualifies.

A licensed U.S. provider reviews each request and makes the prescription decision. A product choice does not guarantee a prescription.

Promise is for U.S. patients only. Availability varies by state and by treatment.
